Solar Powered Cat Nap

I saw this cartoon in the August 23, 2009 issue of Newsweek Magazine. It was drawn by Jason Patterson. It struck an immediate chord with me because it is the daily ritual of my beautiful white cat Star to take a sun bath in the bedroom floor. Now my friends and family affectionately refer to her "SPCN's". Many Thanks to Jason Patterson for a spot-on image!

The second cartoon was taken from an illustration by Beatrix Potter. A friend made a thank you card to send me using this illustration. I was so pleased with it that I made it the theme picture for my computer desktop. It is, to me, the sheer essence of an elegant white cat. And it fits my Star to a T!
