I got my little Ritzy from an animal shelter. Little did I know that she was sick with an upper respiratory infection, was underweight and had been spayed at only four months old. I spent two weeks giving her medicine, trying to get her to eat and to eat so she would gain weight again. After she was done with the meds and started to feel better, she hit a growth spurt and my little kitten started turning into a beautiful girl!! She's gained all the weight she needed to, and has a clean bill of health.
My question, if anyone can answer it, is this. Are tuxedo cats bigger than other cats? Ritzy is now only six months old and is HUGE for her age!! She is the youngest cat I have but is now almost bigger than the biggest one!!
We feel blessed to have our little girl and are enjoying every minute of having her with us. I can't wait for her to finish growing so we can see just how big and beautiful she will become.
I'm so glad you found Ritzy and nursed her back to health. She truly must be a blessing to you and your family. I love happy endings and beginnings.
As to whether tuxedos are bigger than other cats, I'm afraid I don't know. I've read that they seem to be smarter than other felines but I haven't heard or read about their size.
Thanks for sharing your story!

An Uptown Girl, obviously! by: Jean from Tennessee
Dear Ritzy's Mom ... she sounds like a VERY special girl. Unfortunately, I don't know the answer to your question but I just want to ask you to please send us a picture of this special girl. I'm so glad you were there for her at that critical time in her young life! I hope you have MANY years with one another.
