My Poorly Boy

This is Imy he is 12 and was diagnosed with cancer on the 20th December 2010, he is a very poorly boy now, but taking his tablets and still purring when stroked,I cannot believe how quickly it came on, he was fine a few weeks ago then suddenly had a swollen tummy, I was heartbroken when the vet told me what was wrong with him. I am dreading his passing, he is such a sweet boy.

Dear Helen: I'm really sad to hear of Imy's diagnosis. I lost my 15 year old chihuahua to an osteosarcoma that seemed to come up over a weekend. One day her little leg was normal sized, two days later 3x bigger. It can really show itself very abruptly. I was lucky and had 6 more wonderful months with her and I wish as much time for you and Imy as is possible. He will let you know when it is time for him to go. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Imy is a beautiful cat, he is obviously well cared for and much beloved. I'm so glad you both have had this time together.

Better to have a sudden illness and passing than to go on and on. Treasure your years with your dear kitty. I'm a cat lover and cat rescuer so I understand your heartache. When your sadness is less painful, seek the love of another pet. So many are in desperate need.

Hi Helen,

I'm so sorry to hear about Imy's diagnosis. I cried when I read this as my beloved cat Mia just recently passed. Know that I am praying for you and Imy. He's indeed a sweet kitty.

You mention he is taking tablets. Is he under any type of treatment?
