My cat Fizzy

Fizzy when he was about 2

Fizzy when he was about 2

We got our cat Fizzy when he was 6 weeks old. He is ginger and white and has grown to be very big. Anyway, he's so adorable but can be very sneaky! :)

In the mornings, at 6am, he wakes my mum up by batting her eyes with his paws. He doesn't use his claws but she finds it very annoying!

At Christmas, we have always gotten him one of them cat stockings you can get from the supermarket. It has balls and treats and loads of other stuff for them.

So last Xmas we wraps the stocking up in wrapping paper (obviously) and put it under the tree. Fizzy sniffs it and I think he could smell the two boxes of treats that were in there! (This was a Whiskas stocking)

He started to claw at the paper and tear it up! We managed to stop him all the way till Xmas. On the day, he managed to tear all the paper off, and we opened the stocking. I know this is bad, but we left the two cat treat boxes open for him to eat during the day. :S

I love my cat to pieces. His birthday is on October 15th, and every year I get him something to mark his birthday with. He was 5 this year.
I especially love tortoiseshell cats. When I was on holiday in Greece a few years ago, there was this beautiful tortie cat who I named...wait for it...Tortie!

I used to feed her outside the apartment every day for two weeks, and she would follow us around. The day we had to fly back to England, I was so upset. I miss her and I hope she's ok.

I hope you liked my cat experiences! x

I have a cat named Fizzy too! He's a classic tabby and white kitten. His birthday is very close to your Fizzy's birthday too! His birthday is on the 19th of October 2013. He's currently almost 4 months! Aren't they similar?

A Ginger Fizz-y
by: Jean from Tennessee

I love ginger cats too and Fizzy is a beautiful specimen.

It sounds like Fizzy is a lot of fun to have around. I think it's neat that you give him a Christmas present and a birthday present. I usually try to give my cat Star a special meal on her birthday (since she's adopted I don't know her actual birthday so we celebrate her adoption day as her birthday). And for big holidays she always gets special food too (i.e. turkey & gravy for Thanksgiving and Christmas, for example.) She has so many toys she never plays with anyway that I don't buy her more toys.

I hope the Greece kitty is okay. It must have been hard to leave it behind when you came home.

Thanks for sharing Fizzy's story and picture with us.

Fizzy

Hi Megan,

I loved reading about Fizzy and his antics. My cat Max also loves getting presents. It's so much fun to see how excited he gets (especially when he gets catnip toys and big toy mice). So I guess you're getting ready for this year's Christmas? I sure plan to get Max a nice gift.

I also enjoyed reading about Tortie. I too hope she's doing OK back in Greece. One can't help but get attached.

Thanks for sharing!
