Midnight was born october 2007. He came to my house at the end of winter a little over a year later I first remember seeing him, he disappeared for 2 months we got 2 kittens to replace him Midnight came back!

A happy outcome all the way around, it sounds like! Midnight knew he had a good thing at your house and after doing a bit of exploring, decided to come back to you. Neat!

I'm as curious as Claudia ... do you have ANY hints of where he might have been or what he had been into? Was he healthy when he returned? Do you have a picture? I'd love to see your other cats as well and hear something about them too.
