I recently found a little feral cat where I work. She used to lived in a drain pipe all by herself in an office complex and was petrified of humans. It took months of feeding, in fact I spent more time talking to the cat at the drain pipe than I did at my desk in my office. We became friends and I am now happy to say that I have her safe & sound at home. Chrystal has settled in nicely & is so appreciative of every bit of food & love that comes her way! But, I still think I am the lucky one to have been blessed with her companionship :)
Thank you so much for posting this! My family has adopted an all-white feral that reminds me alot of Chrystal - they look very similar except that our cat, Bentley, has a grey "mohawk" on his head & a little on his tail.
I'm so glad that you rescued Chrystal, but I know what you mean about feeling like you are the lucky one to have her in your life. -Rick

Another loving feral cats by: Claudia - Admin
Kittycat sr lady,
I'm so glad you were able to save Riley. I love to hear stories about people rescuing cats in need, especially feral cats. Even though feral cats are more difficult to "domesticate", I think they deserve a chance. Thank you for sharing your story.
I'd love to see a picture of Riley, maybe you can build a page for Riley and share his picture.

Feral cats can be most loving by: Kittycat sr lady
As I'm sitting here with my laptop, my white feral cat is sharing my lap. He came into my life this June when I discovered an abondoned litter living under a bush behind a big discount store. They were starving but no one knew they were there because they hid in the dirt with ants and ran back under the bush at the slightest sign of cars or people. So for weeks I drove there 2 x a day with food and water. They got so excited as they recognized the sound of my car and climbed all over each other to get their share of food--but only when I put it inside the bush. Finally I trapped one and just missed a 2nd one. Sadly 1 got run over on the busy street and then they all just disappeared. It's still sad for me to drive by there but I love my little Riley who is living the life or Riley! Oh by the way, he has a big bushy black tail. So cute!
